Don't count on that: if you've ever smelled the room after a few kids have spend a day or three playing Final MageCraft online together, you'd be scared, too.
Otaku was a term coined back in the 60s for kids who could interface with the Matrix without simsense or decktech. They just plugged into the Matrix with their datajacks and their minds did the rest. Serious biochemistry and neurological changes, from what I hear. All were pretty young and the ability faded with age. They worshiped a "spirit in the machine" they called the Deep Resonance, and were pretty rare. Sometimes they gathered in tribes and had rumbles in and out of the 'trix. I hear some helped out around the Denver Nexus, while others sided with the rogue program behind the Renraku Arcology in Seattle. Some credible sources put them in league with Winternight and Crash 2.0. Rumor has it most of them died before and during the second Crash, whole tribes slaughtered. Others burned out after the Crash. None of the major tribes seemed to make it past that point. The ones that survived probably aged out of their abilities before now. If there have been any new ones, I cant say. Rumors, but nothing I care to substantiate.
